Hi, I’m Connor and I’m 11 years old. I love all things technology. My love for electronics started at the early age of 2. I was very interested in TV remote controls. My family would give me small electronics, like old TVs, VCRs, DVD players, receivers and radios to play around with. I enjoyed taking them apart and hooking them back up.

As I got older, I really got into computers. I got my first computer when I was 6 years old. It was a Sony Notebook Computer. It ran Windows 98 second edition with a Pentium III processor.

A few years later, I received my first Raspberry Pi for my birthday. A Raspberry Pi is a single board computer that you can build yourself and add programs to. I ran a private Minecraft server on it for my friends and I to play. I’ve also enjoyed coding on it.

I got my first desktop from my grandma. She said I could have it as long as I took the original hard drive out. I started upgrading and replacing parts in it immediately. I installed a 1 terabyte hard drive and a 2 gigabyte stick of ram. I’m planning to install a new power supply, so I can run my new MSI graphics card. I’m currently working on a game for ROBLOX. ROBLOX is a multiplayer online gaming platform. It allows users to design their own games to share all over the world.

Over time, I’ve collected and upgraded 8 computers. I also have a Dell PowerEdge Server. This is my personal file server. Some of my computers are connected to it. I use it to back-up my files. Some of these computers were given to me and some I’ve saved up to purchase myself. I take good care of all my computers.

I like to watch tech channels on YouTube. My favorite YouTuber’s are the 8-bit guy, AA Computers and Technology and Linus Tech Tips. The 8-bit guy has a lot of old school technology, which I find really cool! AA Computer and Technology shows new technology on a budget. He buys a lot of supplies from Ebay and then upgrades the devices. Linus Tech Tips includes the new, up-to-date technology. It’s all state of the art and cutting edge.

I know most kids my age are really into sports or music. But, my favorite thing in the whole world is technology. This is where I get my confidence. I consider it my strength. I help my teachers and other kids with computer programs at school. In 6th grade summer school I took my first keyboarding and coding class. It was a lot of fun. I want to take more of these classes. My plans for the future are going to college to study Computer Science. I’d like to work in the tech industry one day, developing new technology.
